Anna has over 20 years of experience caring for patients from very diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She carried out her undergraduate studies and Master in Public Health degree in Belgium. She then attended CUNY School of Professional Studies for her Bachelor’s degree in nursing. She was recently awarded her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Long Island University. Anna began her nursing career in neurology, then quickly progressed to the surgical ICU, and later to oncology.
She has also worked in the outpatient setting and carried out research in the rare neuromuscular disease field. She has understood early in her career that care should be tailored to the patient’s personal needs. “My passion has always focused on preventive care, while teaching patients about maintaining a balance for optimal health, especially when it comes to nutrition and how it impacts the body”. Anna speaks Spanish and resides within the community she cares for.
