Jeisson Baez Abreu is a Hispanic nationally certified physician assistant who speaks fluent Spanish and English & currently works in the GI field at Newtown Gastroenterology. He completed his Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences at CUNY-Hunter College and then earned his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at PACE University-NYC. Jeisson is devoted to the gastroenterology field because it provides the opportunity to observe and treat various disorders ranging from the esophagus, the stomach, the liver, the small intestine and colon making a difference in his field every day. His daily objectives are to provide patients with dietary and nutritional advice that enhances not only their overall health but also their digestive health. The thrill of being able to really impact his patients; lives through engaging in preventative care by screening patients for esophageal, stomach, and colorectal cancer is what keeps Jeisson inspired.
In his spare time, he keeps himself busy by staying active doing activities such as working out, biking, playing volleyball and basketball in addition to spending quality time with his friends and family.
